Corner Health Raises $32.5 Million to Build a New Primary Care Network of Independent Clinicians

July 14, 2026

Most problems in health care are supply-side - in the sense that there’s often sufficient patient demand (for evaluation, for a procedure, for a medication) but insufficient supply to deliver care to the customer, whether it’s because of price, availability, skill, or otherwise. What we love about Corner Health is the unique approach it takes to the U.S. primary care shortage. It doesn’t just seek to drive patients into a practice (and payment) model. Or build an app and apply a fresh coat of paint to a clinic while calling itself a tech company. Corner fundamentally believes the solution is to build a new type of supply - nurse practitioners who are able to open their own practices, becoming entrepreneurs and owners.

Where does this insight come from? Two mission-driven founders in Lava Sunder and Anne Gifford who worked together at a previous startup and came together to start Corner; informed by Lava’s experiences seeing her mother build her own private practice. And now they’re announcing the company, alongside $32.5 million raised to date, of which Homebrew has been a part since the first dollars.

Corner isn’t just a vision - it’s already a 70+ clinic network, powered by a technology platform, a playbook, and a stellar team based out of Los Angeles. And what you see today is just the proverbial tip of the iceberg in how Corner is rethinking primary care, wellness and technology.

If you’re a nurse practitioner (or know one) who might like to become part of Corner, let them know. Or if working at a well-funded startup like Corner is where you’d like to continue your career, they’re hiring.
